Biography
Ralf Reichert is the CEO at Esports World Cup Foundation. He started his career in 1991 at BMW Zwirner as an assistant to the managing director. In July 1997, he co-founded SK Gaming with his brothers. Until 2001, he held the position of club managing director, moving from player to manager.
In December 2000, Reichert co-founded ESL Gaming. Under his leadership as CEO for 18 years, ESL has become a leading esports tournament operator, launching series such as Intel Extreme Masters. From 2006 to 2007, he also served on the supervisory board of GIGA Television. In the following years, Reichert held positions at Cologne Game Lab.
From 2016 to 2022, he was a board member of WESA, and from May 2018 to August 2022, he served as Co-CEO at ESL Gaming. In October 2023, he took over Esports World Cup Foundation. For his contribution to the industry, he was inducted into the Esports Awards Hall of Fame in 2019.
